Max Christie: stats, last game & news

On February 2, 2025, Max Christie found himself at the center of one of the NBA's most headline-grabbing trades, sent to Dallas in a deal involving Luka Dončić and Anthony Davis. For the 22-year-old guard, this trade marks a new chapter in an already accomplished young career.

Before stepping onto professional courts, Christie had already made a name for himself at Rolling Meadows High School in Illinois, where he formed a formidable duo with his brother Cam. His senior season remains memorable: a perfect record of 15 wins and 0 losses, crowned with a host of individual honors including the Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year award. Those performances earned him spots in the most prestigious showcases in American high school basketball, from the McDonald's All-American Game to the Nike Hoop Summit.

Basketball runs in the Christie family's blood. His mother Katrina, now a psychotherapist, shone on the courts at Northwestern, while his father Max Sr. balances his career as a pilot with his past as a college basketball player. This athletic heritage was confirmed when Cam also joined the NBA in the 2024 draft.

After a convincing season at Michigan State, Max made the leap to the NBA, where his long-range shooting ability and versatility quickly won fans over. His international experience, including a gold medal at the 2019 FIBA U16 Americas Championship, reflects a basketball maturity developed early on.

Now in Dallas, Christie is ready to write a new page in his story, backed by his steady development and his ability to adapt to the highest levels of competition.
