Olympiacos Piraeus are exploring the NBA market as they consider possible adjustments to their roster for the 2026-27 EuroLeague season. The Greek powerhouse are closely monitoring two American guards: John Konchar and Ochai Agbaji.

Neither player has received a formal offer from Olympiacos at this stage. The club's next move appears to depend heavily on the situation surrounding Tyler Dorsey, whose future could influence whether the Greek champions pursue another perimeter player.

John Konchar: an experienced NBA role player

John Konchar has established himself as a versatile perimeter player in the NBA, spending much of his career with the Memphis Grizzlies after entering the league undrafted in 2019.

Known for his rebounding ability, defensive effort and willingness to contribute without dominating the ball, Konchar has primarily operated as a complementary player. His versatility allows him to play across the shooting guard and small forward positions.

For Olympiacos, his profile could offer an interesting combination of NBA experience, defensive versatility and off-ball contributions. However, the Greek club's interest remains exploratory, with no formal proposal submitted.

Ochai Agbaji: a former NBA lottery pick on Olympiacos' radar

The second name being monitored is Ochai Agbaji, a former University of Kansas standout who helped the Jayhawks win the 2022 NCAA championship.

Selected 14th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2022 NBA Draft, Agbaji began his NBA career with the Utah Jazz before moving to the Toronto Raptors in February 2024.

An athletic shooting guard and wing, Agbaji offers a different profile from Konchar. His physical tools, defensive potential and ability to finish in transition could make him an interesting option for a EuroLeague contender.

A potential move to Olympiacos would represent his first experience in European basketball, although there is currently no indication that negotiations have started.

Tyler Dorsey's future at Olympiacos remains uncertain

Olympiacos' interest in John Konchar and Ochai Agbaji is closely linked to the uncertain future of Tyler Dorsey, who was recently left out of the squad following controversial Instagram comments about his role and playing time.

Meanwhile, PAOK Thessaloniki are reportedly preparing an offer worth around €2 million for the Greek international, with point guard Athanasios "Nasos" Bazinas potentially included in the deal. No formal agreement has been reached, but a possible departure for Dorsey could accelerate Olympiacos' search for backcourt reinforcements. According to Matteo Andreani, the Greek powerhouse are closely monitoring both Konchar and Agbaji, although no offers have been submitted so far.
