Player Profile
A buzzer-beater that changed everything: in 2010, during the Nike International Junior Tournament, an 18-year-old Serbian named Bogdan Bogdanovic hit the game-winning shot, already showcasing his ability to shine in crucial moments. This decisive basket with the FMP junior team foreshadowed a career defined by shooting excellence and leadership under pressure.
Trained at Belgrade clubs, first at ŠKK Zvezdara and then at Žitko Basket, Bogdanovic quickly climbed the ranks. His first professional contract with Partizan in 2010 truly launched his career. With the Serbian capital's club, the shooting guard collected multiple Serbian League and ABA League titles, establishing himself as a key member of the squad. His rapid rise culminated in 2014 with the EuroLeague Rising Star award, recognizing his outstanding season.
Drafted that same year 27th overall by Phoenix before being traded to Sacramento, Bogdanovic waited until 2017 to make his NBA debut. His American journey took him from the Kings to the Atlanta Hawks, where he set a franchise record for three-pointers made, before joining the Los Angeles Clippers. But it may be in a Serbian national team jersey that the guard truly revealed his full stature, becoming the all-time leading scorer in his country's national team history.
Inspired from a young age by Yugoslavia's 2002 World Championship title, Bogdanovic has collected medals along the way: Olympic silver in 2016, World Championship silver in 2014 and 2023, and Olympic bronze in 2024. Recognized for his professionalism and interpersonal qualities, the Belgrade native embodies modern versatility, combining long-range shooting precision, court vision, and a team-first mentality in decisive moments.
