Player Profile

Nicknamed "Slow Mo" for his deliberate and calculated style of play, Kyle Forman Anderson turned what might seem like a weakness into a formidable weapon on the court. Born in New Jersey to a father who coached basketball, Anderson grew up in an environment where basketball intelligence was valued over raw athleticism.

Already in high school at St. Anthony High School, this unconventional player impressed with his rare versatility: trained as a point guard despite his tall frame, he developed an exceptional court vision and passing skills that set him apart. His two New Jersey State championships and recognition as the State's best player crowned a remarkable high school career.

At UCLA, Anderson confirmed his potential by leading the Bruins to several tournament titles, proving that his cerebral brand of basketball could compete with more explosive styles. This unique approach opened the doors to the NBA in 2014, where he was selected 30th overall by the San Antonio Spurs.

His NBA career took him from San Antonio to Memphis, then Minnesota and currently Utah, where his high basketball IQ and ability to play multiple positions make him a valuable asset. In 2023, Anderson made history by obtaining Chinese citizenship under the name Li Kai'er, representing China at the FIBA World Cup.

This international reinvention perfectly illustrates Anderson's philosophy: seizing opportunities with patience and intelligence — qualities that his family and coaches have nurtured to help him maintain his balance and humility.
