Player Profile

When Brandon Miller received his first college scholarship offer from Tennessee State, whose coach was none other than his cousin Brian Collins, few could have imagined he would become one of the most coveted prospects in the country. Born in Antioch, Tennessee, the 6-foot-9 forward quickly climbed the ranks of high school basketball by making his mark at Cane Ridge High School.

His exceptional performances earned him two Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year awards and the title of Tennessee Mr. Basketball. This dominance at the local level opened the doors to the most prestigious national showcases: the McDonald's All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic, where Miller confirmed his status as a five-star recruit among the best in the class of 2022.

His decision to join the University of Alabama proved to be a wise one. In a single season, he put together one of the most decorated freshman campaigns in SEC history, seamlessly alternating between guard and forward. This versatility and his ability to score while creating plays for his teammates won over NBA scouts.

Selected with the second overall pick in the 2023 Draft by the Charlotte Hornets, Miller quickly established himself as a key piece of the rotation. A dynamic scorer and promising playmaker, he embodies the franchise hopes of Charlotte. However, a wrist injury requiring surgery sidelined him for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, a setback that tested his resilience. This forced break could paradoxically allow him to come back stronger and fulfill his full potential.
