Nicknamed "Strokin' Joe," Isaiah Joe has turned his three-point shooting into a true artistic signature. Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, this elite shooter climbed the ranks with remarkable consistency, from high school courts to the heights of the NBA.
From his years at Northside High School, Joe showed his ambitions by leading his team to the Arkansas State championship in the 7A category. His exceptional performances earned him the distinctions of Gatorade Arkansas Boys Basketball Player of the Year and USA Today State Player of the Year. True to his roots, he honored his early commitment to the University of Arkansas, where he made an immediate impact in his first year thanks to his legendary shooting ability from beyond the arc.
Selected 49th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2020 NBA Draft, Joe made his professional debut in December of the same year. But it was in Oklahoma City, where he signed in October 2022, that the guard fully revealed his potential. His explosive performances and surgical long-range precision quickly won over the Thunder organization.
The mutual trust was made official on July 1, 2024, with a four-year contract extension worth $48 million.
