The Philadelphia 76ers continue their winning streak with a fifth consecutive victory, defeating the Golden State Warriors 113-94 Tuesday night in San Francisco. The remarkable performance by rookie VJ Edgecombe, who posted 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists, was decisive in this win.

A collective domination by the 76ers

Andre Drummond complemented Edgecombe with a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double, while Trendon Watford provided 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Adem Bona gave Philadelphia an early boost, hitting his first five shots in nine first-half minutes and finishing with 11 points.

The Sixers’ physical edge showed up on the glass. They grabbed 24 offensive rebounds and held a 55–34 overall rebounding advantage, then turned Golden State’s 20 turnovers into 15 points, steadily widening the margin.

Even with a disrupted travel schedule — a second bus arriving just 75 minutes before tip-off because of Bay Area traffic — Nick Nurse downplayed any concern about fatigue. Philadelphia was playing the second night of a back-to-back after a 128–113 win over the Clippers, but the coaching staff showed little worry about how the circumstances might carry over.

Golden State weakened by absences

The Warriors had to play without Stephen Curry, who was out due to right knee soreness that had already forced him to leave early in Friday’s 131-124 loss to Detroit. Jonathan Kuminga, whose future with the franchise remains uncertain, missed his fifth consecutive game due to a left knee bone bruise.

Gui Santos and Pat Spencer led Golden State’s offense with 13 points each, while Moses Moody added 12 points. Despite a good start with eight 3-pointers made in the first quarter and a 63.2% shooting percentage (12/19), the Warriors suffered their third consecutive home loss. Al Horford contributed 10 points despite foul trouble, notably through an exchange of assists with Draymond Green on consecutive 3-pointers.

Philadelphia continues its five-game West Coast trip Thursday with a matchup against the Lakers, while Golden State heads to Phoenix the same night.
