EuroLeague has officially released its 2026-2027 regular season schedule. Twenty teams will compete in a 38-game regular season, with the action kicking off on the weekend of September 24-25, 2026. From a blockbuster Finals rematch to a season-closing derby, the calendar is already packed with must-watch moments.

Besiktas Istanbul Makes Its Return
One of the biggest storylines heading into 2026-2027 is the return of Besiktas Istanbul to EuroLeague, replacing AS Monaco in the competition. The Turkish club will make their comeback on home court, hosting Valencia Basket on Friday, September 25, in Round 1.
The opening night on Thursday, September 24 also delivers immediate marquee action. Panathinaikos welcome Paris Basketball to Athens, while Barcelona host Anadolu Efes Istanbul at the Palau Blaugrana. Reigning champion Real Madrid, meanwhile, begin their title defense on the road, traveling to Dubai Basketball for their season opener.
Marquee Matchups to Circle on the Calendar
The highlight of the early schedule comes in Round 13, when Olympiacos — the 2026 EuroLeague champion — host Real Madrid on Friday, November 20. It will be the first meeting between the two clubs since the Finals, making it one of the most anticipated games of the season. The return leg is set for January 8 in Madrid.
The Spanish Clásico between Real Madrid and FC Barcelone is another fixture that always draws attention. The two sides will meet in Round 15 or 16 on Thursday, December 3, with the return fixture scheduled at the Palau Blaugrana on March 5, 2027.
A Season Finale With Playoff Stakes
The regular season closes on April 16, 2027, and EuroLeague has saved one of its biggest matchups for last. Panathinaikos Athens and Olympiacos are scheduled to face each other on that final day, meaning the Greek derby could have direct implications for playoff seeding — adding even more pressure to an already electric rivalry.
From there, the play-in round is set for April 20 and 23, before the season reaches its climax at the Final Four, scheduled for May 27-30, 2027. The host venue has not yet been confirmed.
ASVEL and Paris Basketball: France’s Two Representatives
With AS Monaco relegated to EuroCup, ASVEL and Paris Basketball are the only two French clubs remaining in EuroLeague for 2026-2027. Tony Parker’s ASVEL will open the season at home against Maccabi Tel-Aviv on September 24. Paris Basketball, meanwhile, is thrown straight into the deep end, opening the campaign on the road against a Panathinaikos side led by Zeljko Obradovic and featuring former French internationals Guerschon Yabusele, Moustapha Fall, and Mathias Lessort.
The first all-French showdown of the season comes early: Paris Basketball hosts ASVEL at the Adidas Arena on Wednesday, October 7, in Round 4.
