When Kyshawn George had his spectacular growth spurt in high school, going from 5'8" to 6'7", few could have imagined that this young man from Monthey would become the first Swiss player drafted in the NBA in decades. That physical transformation was just the prelude to a meteoric rise that took him from Swiss courts to the biggest stages in world basketball.

The son of Deon George, a former professional player in Canada and then in Switzerland, Kyshawn grew up immersed in basketball from an early age. His dual Swiss-Canadian nationality gave him a unique basketball heritage, which he honored as early as 2016 by winning the Swiss U16 championship. That first title opened the doors to Élan Chalon, where he methodically worked his way up through every level over four seasons, from the U18 team all the way to the first team.

His American adventure with the Miami Hurricanes revealed his early maturity. Thrust into the starting lineup during his first college year due to teammates' injuries, the Swiss forward seized his opportunity with confidence.
