The Los Angeles Clippers once again relied on their star duo to defeat the Washington Wizards Wednesday night in Inglewood. Kawhi Leonard scored 33 points while James Harden added 22 points and 8 assists in this 119-105 victory.
This performance allows the Clippers to secure their fourth consecutive win and claim their 11th victory in 13 games since December 20th. The California team shot 47% from the field and won for the eighth time in their last nine home games.
On the Wizards side, Kyshawn George stood out with 23 points, followed by Khris Middleton with 17. Marvin Bagley III recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Will Riley contributed 12 points. Despite a decent shooting percentage of 45.6% and a rebounding advantage of 50-47, Washington suffered their fourth consecutive loss.
The game was marked by the ejection of Alex Sarr, the Wizards’ starting center, who received a technical foul in each of the first two quarters before being ejected with less than two minutes remaining in the first half, after scoring only 4 points.
Down by 24 points in the first half, the Wizards attempted a comeback early in the second half, cutting the deficit to just two points (83-81) with 3:26 remaining in the third quarter. George scored 12 points in that decisive quarter, with Middleton adding 10.

The Clippers led 96-89 after the third quarter before pulling away thanks to Leonard. A three-pointer by the star extended the lead to 102-91 with 10:07 remaining, before another three-pointer definitively stretched the gap to 110-95 with 6:14 left.
Leonard dominated the final quarter with 14 points and four three-pointers made. At halftime, the Clippers already led 70-51 thanks to Harden’s 16 points and Leonard’s 15, shooting 51.1% compared to 45.7% for their opponents.
Before the game, Wizards coach Brian Keefe announced that point guard Trae Young, acquired last Friday from the Atlanta Hawks, would not be re-evaluated for his knee and quadriceps injuries until after the All-Star Game break.
