Player Profile

When Chris Paul scored 61 points in a high school game, it wasn't to break a personal record. It was to honor the memory of his murdered grandfather — one point for each year of his life. This gesture already reveals the emotional depth that would define the entire career of the future "Point God".

Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Christopher Emmanuel Paul grew up in a close-knit family in Lewisville, spending his summers working at his grandfather's gas station. This family tragedy shaped his character and determination. After shining at West Forsyth High School as a McDonald's All-American, he led Wake Forest to its first number one national ranking in school history.

Selected 4th overall by the New Orleans Hornets in 2005, Paul embarked on an NBA odyssey that took him from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, and San Antonio Spurs. With Phoenix, he finally reached the NBA Finals in 2021, the culmination of a sixteen-year quest.

Beyond his legendary basketball IQ and elite playmaking abilities, Paul established himself as a natural leader. As president of the players' union from 2013 to 2021, he advocated for his peers with the same intensity he brought to running an offense. His partnerships with Jordan Brand and State Farm made him one of the highest-paid athletes in the world.

His CP3 Foundation carries on the family legacy by supporting numerous charitable causes in North Carolina. At 39, Paul continues to write his story, proving that some point guards transcend generations through their impact both on and off the court.
