The Orlando Magic ended their losing streak with a 115-111 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. Desmond Bane scored 21 points while Jalen Suggs compiled 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the Magic to their second win in nine games.

A Breathtaking Finish with Booker as Savior

Devin Booker tried everything for Phoenix with 34 points, including a crucial 3-pointer that brought the Suns within two points with only 3.1 seconds on the clock. But Tristan da Silva‘s two free throws sealed the victory for Orlando in the final moments.

Paolo Banchero made a solid contribution with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the Magic. Wendell Carter Jr. also made his presence felt in the paint with a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds. Orlando managed to limit the damage despite 25 turnovers, a notable improvement after the 28 turnovers conceded during the heavy 139-87 defeat at Toronto on Sunday.

The first half was marked by a foul festival with 26 turnovers, 47 free throws and 41 personal fouls called. The referees also handed out technical fouls to Brooks, Booker, Bane, Banchero and even Franz Wagner, who was absent from the court due to injury.

Brooks’ Return and Phoenix’s Comeback

Dillon Brooks was making his return after fracturing his hand during the game against Orlando on February 21. The Suns forward scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes, but was hampered by fouls, picking up a technical as early as the 89th second of play.

Phoenix came back into the game thanks to a blazing third quarter from Booker, who scored 14 points including 9 from the free-throw line. Royce O’Neal tied it at 94-94 by closing the period with his third 3-pointer in two minutes. A mid-range shot by Brooks even gave the Suns their last lead at 107-105, before Banchero and Bane gave Orlando the lead for good.

The Suns will travel to Charlotte on Thursday, while the Magic will host Atlanta on Wednesday to try to confirm this encouraging victory.
