The Atlanta Hawks continue their spectacular rise by defeating the Orlando Magic (124-112) on Monday night. This tenth consecutive victory, carried by an exceptional performance from Nickeil Alexander-Walker, sends a strong message to the entire Eastern Conference one month before the playoffs.

Alexander-Walker Shines with 41 Points, His Career High

The Canadian guard delivered the game of his life by scoring 41 points, breaking his previous career high of 38 points set earlier this season against San Antonio. Alexander-Walker was particularly sharp from 3-point range with 9 makes on 15 attempts, accompanied by 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.

Jalen Johnson also shined with his 13th triple-double of the season (24 points, 15 rebounds, 13 assists), confirming his status among the best power forwards in the NBA. Dyson Daniels contributed with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Jonathan Kuminga, available for his fifth game since arriving in February, added 7 points and 8 rebounds.

An Impressive Streak That Propels Atlanta Toward the Playoffs

This 10-game winning streak is Atlanta’s longest in 11 years. During that stretch, the Hawks have owned the league’s top defense and the fourth-ranked offense, with every win coming by at least nine points — a sign of just how dominant they’ve been.

Now 38–31, Atlanta has climbed back into eighth place in the Eastern Conference, pushing Philadelphia down to ninth. They’re now within striking distance — less than two wins — of the automatic playoff spots.

On the Orlando side, Paolo Banchero (18 points, 10 rebounds) and Desmond Bane (18 points) did what they could, but it wasn’t enough to slow down a Hawks team playing with confidence on both ends.

The momentum could continue in the coming days with matchups against Dallas, Houston, Golden State and Memphis. This spectacular rise positions Atlanta as a serious contender for the playoffs in an increasingly tight Eastern Conference.
