Tarbes’ sporting and administrative relegation has led to several departures, including Justine Loubens (1.84m, 18 years old). A graduate of the Yvan Mainini National Training Center and bronze medalist at the U18 EuroBasket this summer, the young French international will join La Roche Vendée Basketball Club. She will play her first full season in the elite division, the Boulangère Wonderligue.

A National Training Center prospect heads to Vendée

After three years at the National Training Center, Justine Loubens had initially signed with Tarbes to discover the Boulangère Wonderligue in 2025-2026. However, TGB’s withdrawal to lower divisions changed her plans. The versatile wing, who can play positions 3 and 4, has committed to La Roche Vendée.

A busy summer in Blue

During the last Women’s U18 EuroBasket, the L’Isle-Jourdain native averaged 7.6 points (48.6% shooting), 2.7 rebounds and 1 assist in 17 minutes across 7 games, contributing to France’s bronze medal. Already noticed last year at the U17 World Cup, she continues to demonstrate her potential at the international level.

A profile built for the elite

Blessed with impressive wingspan, good court vision, and consistent activity on both ends of the floor, Justine Loubens will be able to develop within David Gautier’s system. For La Roche Vendée, her arrival aligns with their recruitment strategy focused on youth and development, especially given their significantly reduced budget.
