Hortense Limouzin launches her Toulouse adventure with a strong performance

Toulouse Métropole Basket got off to a perfect start in 2026 with a home win against the latest EuroCup champions, Villeneuve-d’Ascq (70-65). This victory ended a 10-game losing streak that had lasted since the first day of the championship in early October.
While Puerto Rican Trinity San Antonio finished as the game’s top scorer with 18 points, including 11 in the first quarter, it was point guard Hortense Limouzin (5’5″, 27 years old) who made a remarkable debut in the white and pink jersey. Just after arriving, the French 3×3 international finished with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists (her best performance since April 1, 2023) in 36 minutes. After a week of training, the French 3×3 basketball international showed that she had quickly integrated into coach Xavier Noguera’s system.
An experienced player
Having played notably for Basket Landes and Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, the 2022 World Cup and European Cup 3×3 gold medalist joins TMB not as a medical substitute but as reinforcement for the rest of the season. A signing that the Toulouse coach commented on in La Dépêche du Midi:
« We had issues at the guard positions, with pace management. The opportunity to recruit an additional French player, which is rare on the market, who knows the division well, was one to seize. Hortense should bring consistency, passing quality, court vision and also different pace management. With our commitment to continue developing an increasingly aggressive defensive game. »
A fight for survival
This second win of the season (against 9 losses) keeps TMB in the race for survival. If Hortense Limouzin continues to deliver these kinds of performances, there’s no doubt that the club, which returned to the top division in spring 2025, would be able to stay up.
The Toulouse team faces two bottom-table rivals next. They will travel on Wednesday, January 7 to face La Roche Vendée (4 wins and 8 losses) before hosting ASVEL Féminin (4 wins and 8 losses) on Saturday, January 10 at 8 PM.
