Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell shine with 34 points each in Cavaliers victory

The Cleveland Cavaliers took control early and never really let go, handling the Utah Jazz 122–113 behind twin 34-point nights from Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell.
It was the kind of offensive rhythm that travels — clean execution, steady pace, and just enough shot-making to keep Utah at arm’s length. The win pushes Cleveland to five straight road victories, a stretch that says as much about their consistency as it does their ceiling.
Mobley dominates in the paint with a stellar performance
Evan Mobley turned in a career night — 34 points, 17 rebounds, 3 blocks — and controlled the game like a true anchor. The 7-footer lived at the rim, hammering home eight dunks, including three in a dominant second quarter stretch. Utah had no real answer inside; possession after possession, Mobley imposed himself in the paint.
And when the game tightened, he shifted gears.
The 23-year-old scored 10 points in the fourth, punctuating the win with a decisive three-possession sequence: a three-pointer, an alley-oop from Sam Merrill, then another three — this time in rhythm with James Harden — flipping a three-point game into an 11-point cushion with four minutes left.
Alongside him, Donovan Mitchell delivered his usual scoring punch: 34 points on 10-of-18 shooting, plus 5 assists. It marks his 32nd 30-point game of the season — a steady reminder of where Cleveland’s offensive engine starts and who it runs through.

Harden orchestrates the offense with 14 assists
James Harden settled into full control mode — 14 assists for the second straight game, to go with 13 points and 6 rebounds — orchestrating everything Cleveland wanted offensively. The former MVP kept feeding Evan Mobley, leaning into the mismatch inside and letting the game flow through the paint against a thin Utah front line.
Still, it wasn’t flawless.
The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to show cracks on the perimeter, giving up 15 threes on 29 attempts (51.7%) to the Utah Jazz. That defensive vulnerability lingers — and it showed up on the other end too, where Cleveland struggled to generate anything from deep (6-for-32, 18.8%).
Utah had its moments behind Cody Williams (26 points) and Kyle Filipowski (20 points, 10 rebounds), but couldn’t sustain enough stops to flip the game.
Cleveland, meanwhile, keeps stacking wins — six in their last seven — and now heads to Los Angeles for a matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers.
