The Los Angeles Clippers continued their excellent run with an easy 127-113 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night. This fifth consecutive win was orchestrated by a remarkable offensive collective effort, led by Bennedict Mathurin and his 28 points.

Mathurin and Leonard Power Clippers’ Attack

The Clippers‘ offense worked brilliantly with 45 made baskets on 77 attempts, an excellent 58.4% shooting percentage. Alongside Mathurin‘s 28 points, John Collins added 22 points while Kawhi Leonard scored 20, including 15 in the first half. Darius Garland also contributed with 15 points and 11 assists, complemented by Derrick Jones Jr.‘s 13 points.

On the other side, Milwaukee could count on an exceptional performance from Gary Trent Jr., who scored 36 points, his season-high. Taurean Prince (18 points) and AJ Green (15 points) tried to support their teammate, but it wasn’t enough against the Clippers‘ roster depth.

Milwaukee Handicapped by Depleted Roster

The Bucks had only eight players available for this game, a situation that heavily weighed on their chances. Giannis Antetokounmpo missed his seventh consecutive game due to a left knee hyperextension with bone bruise. The two-time MVP has played only 36 games this season, a career-low.

The absence list was particularly long with Kevin Porter Jr., Bobby Portis, Kyle Kuzma, Ryan Rollins, Myles Turner, Gary Harris, and Thanasis Antetokounmpo all unavailable. The situation became even more complicated late in the game when Green and Ousmane Dieng (7 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists) fouled out, leaving only six players available to finish the game.

The Bucks‘ 22 turnovers allowed the Clippers to score 33 easy points, illustrating the struggles of a team severely short-handed. After resisting early in the game (29-25 after the first quarter), Milwaukee gradually gave way to Los Angeles‘ numerical and technical superiority. This defeat marks the tenth loss in twelve games for the Bucks, who will host Dallas on Tuesday, while the Clippers will welcome Portland.
