Three days after getting clipped at home, the Atlanta Hawks flipped the script.

Back in their building, Jalen Johnson and company handled the Boston Celtics 112–102, snapping back with the kind of response good teams lean on — and stretching an already strong run on their home floor.

A decisive third quarter for Atlanta

The first half had that back-and-forth feel — 10 ties, nine lead changes — neither team able to create real separation. It was deadlocked at 54–54 at the break after Nickeil Alexander-Walker buried a buzzer-beating three.

Atlanta carried that energy into the third and flipped the game.

The Atlanta Hawks owned the quarter 36–22, finally finding rhythm from the perimeter and pushing the pace just enough to crack things open. Suddenly, what had been a coin flip turned into a 14-point cushion heading into the fourth.

The Boston Celtics made one last push — trimming a 21-point hole down to eight in the final two minutes — but never quite got over the hump. Jalen Johnson and Alexander-Walker closed it at the line, knocking down four free throws in the final minute to shut the door.

Okongwu and Johnson shine, Brown responds for Boston

Onyeka Okongwu (20 points, 10 rebounds) and Jalen Johnson (20 points, 12 rebounds) led the Hawks’ offensive charge. For Johnson, it was his 45th double-double of the season, confirming his rise this year. Dyson Daniels also contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Zaccharie Risacher scored 9 points on 75% shooting in 15 minutes of playing time.

On the Celtics side, Jaylen Brown returned after missing two games and finished as the leading scorer with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Jayson Tatum, who scored 26 points in Friday’s matchup, was rested on the bench as part of load management. Luka Garza also contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds.

This 13th consecutive home victory confirms Atlanta’s dominance at State Farm Arena. The Hawks will travel to Orlando on Wednesday night, while Boston will face Miami as part of their road trip.
