In their announcement, TMB expressed satisfaction with the arrival of « one of National 1’s revelations this season. […] With his athletic qualities, Zaion imposes himself defensively to get into offensive rhythm. An impact and penetrating player, Zaion will continue his development in Touraine to later aim for the highest level », commented the club.
At 21 years old, Zaion Nebot literally exploded at the end of the 2024-2025 season with STB Le Havre. He notably caught fire against Tarbes in late February, scoring 19 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. His current season stats aren’t yet impressive – 7.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 20 minutes on average – which motivated him to prove himself further in NM1. Tours seems to be a deliberate next step to develop and gain more responsibilities, after he surprisingly entered his name in the 2025 NBA Draft before eventually withdrawing it.
Jimmy Nebot’s son gave us an interview explaining his choice and presenting his profile. By signing with Tours, Zaion Nebot leaves his first professional club and takes the plunge, « after 6 seasons and thousands of hours of work » in Le Havre, as he wrote when announcing his departure.
