Nadyr Labouize (1.88m, 27) will not wear the Quimper jersey next season. Although he was contracted to the Finistère club until June 30, 2026, the point guard was no longer in the staff’s plans. He will join STB Le Havre, Quimper’s direct competitor last season for promotion to ELITE 2, to replace Benoit Mangin who left in early August.

Le Havre acquires an experienced point guard

According to our information, Nadyr Labouize’s arrival at Le Havre has been confirmed to strengthen Lauriane Dolt’s roster. With Quimper in NM1 last season, the point guard averaged 5.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 29 games.

His departure follows UJAP Quimper president Maxime Laizé’s comments in Ouest-France about players whose playing time might be reduced with new recruits: « We’ll have more players and we’ve made some very good signings. This might raise questions for some… If they express their desire to leave, we’ll consider it. »

A departure that benefits STB

For Le Havre, Labouize’s signing addresses an urgent need following Benoit Mangin’s departure announcement on August 9. The 27-year-old point guard will bring his NM1 experience and playmaking ability, two valuable assets for a club aiming for stability and competitiveness in ELITE 2. The former player of Angers, Andrézieux, Saint-Vallier, and Boulogne-sur-Mer will share point guard duties with Thibault Desseignet (1.79m, 26).
