Podziemski leads Warriors to victory against Denver

The Golden State Warriors ended their two-game losing streak with a 128-117 win over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday at Chase Center. Brandin Podziemski‘s late-game performance was decisive in sealing this important victory.
Podziemski shines in crunch time for Golden State
Brandin Podziemski was the player of the game for the Warriors with 18 total points, including 12 scored in the final five minutes of the fourth quarter. The young guard compiled a double-double with 15 rebounds and 9 assists, shooting 7/16 from the field. His clutch performance allowed Golden State to definitively take control of the contest.

Al Horford also shined with 22 points and 7 assists, making 6 three-pointers. The veteran set the tone from the first quarter by scoring 11 points, including two 3-pointers. Moses Moody added 23 points and 7 rebounds, while DeAnthony Melton contributed 20 points.
The Warriors had to play without several key players: Stephen Curry (knee), Kristaps Porzingis (illness), Jimmy Butler (right ACL tear) and Draymond Green (back), a last-minute scratch.
Jokic records another triple-double but Denver falls
For Denver, Nikola Jokic once again impressed with 25 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists. This was his fifth triple-double in seven games, his 19th of the season and the 183rd of his career. The Serbian center was already one assist away from a triple-double before halftime.
Jamal Murray scored 21 points for the Nuggets, supported by Christian Braun (18 points) and Bruce Brown (12 points). Denver, coming off a crushing 54-point victory over Portland on Friday, never led in the first half.
The game was decided in the final quarter, where Golden State closed on a 19-8 run. Podziemski led this final charge with two 3-pointers and a converted offensive rebound, while Horford added his sixth 3-pointer of the evening to ignite Chase Center. The Warriors will host the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, while Denver will welcome the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.
