Player Profile

Carl Ponsar, born in Mont-Saint-Aignan, Normandy, is a power forward who spent almost his entire career in Pro B. A player with strong potential, he played for French youth national teams, notably participating in the 2014 U17 World Championship (as the 3rd highest scorer of the French team averaging 9.4 points per game) and the 2015 U18 European Championship (same generation as Amine Noua, Stephane Gombauld, Jonathan Jeanne, ...). Carl Ponsar spent his first 6 professional seasons in Pro B with Rouen.

After leaving his youth club for Saint-Quentin, an ankle injury cost him an entire season. He then rebuilt his career in NM1 with Toulouse before returning to Pro B with Lille in 2022/2023. During the 2023 offseason, he chose to join Gries-Souffel and established himself as one of the best French players in the division.
