The Polish basketball Finals are wide open. Zielona Gora claimed a crucial Game 4 victory on home court, defeating Legia Warszawa 85-73 to even the series at 2-2. With everything still to play for, both clubs will now head into a decisive stretch knowing one more loss ends their title hopes.
Mazurczak and Garrison Carry Zielona Gora’s Offense
Andrzej Mazurczak was the standout performer of the night. The Polish guard dropped 21 points in just 28 minutes, adding 3 assists and providing the kind of efficient, high-energy performance his team needed. Alongside him, American guard Conley Jacob Garrison contributed 16 points and 6 rebounds in 33.7 minutes, bringing both scoring punch and playmaking with 3 assists.
The supporting cast did its part as well. Dwight Allen Wilson III came off the bench to post 10 points and 5 rebounds in under 14 minutes, providing a spark that kept Legia off balance. Jayvon Vincent Maughmer chipped in 9 points, while Patrick Thomas Cartier rounded out the effort with 8 points and a team-high 4 assists.
Legia Couldn’t Find Enough Firepower
On the Legia Warszawa side, American forward Carl Ponsar led all scorers with 17 points and 4 rebounds in 26.2 minutes, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with Zielona Gora’s balanced attack. Andrzej Pluta added 14 points and 4 assists, and Dominic « D.J. » Brewton contributed 12 points and 4 assists in a solid individual outing.
Jayvon Graves and Michal Kolenda each finished with 7 points, but Legia as a whole struggled to generate consistent offense against a disciplined Zielona Gora defense. Holding the Warsaw club to just 73 points was a clear statement from the hosts, who showed they can control the tempo when it matters most.
The series now enters its most critical phase, perfectly balanced at 2-2. Both rosters feature significant American talent, and the individual matchups between imports on each side have been a defining storyline throughout the Finals. Game 5 will be a true turning point, with the momentum now firmly in Zielona Gora’s corner after this commanding performance.
