An offensive leader with Paris Basketball’s youth team
After arriving at Paris Basketball’s training center following a season at the French national youth academy in 2022-2023, Ilian Moungalla has confirmed his full potential with the youth team. The top player on the roster coached by Julien Mahé, he is averaging 16.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 11 Espoirs ELITE games this season. A tall point guard (1.92m), he has established himself as a player capable of creating for himself and for others, particularly through his penetration ability.
Still limited appearances at the top level
Occasionally integrated into the professional squad, Ilian Moungalla has only played two Betclic ELITE games, as well as one appearance in the SuperCup. Not registered for the EuroLeague, his exposure to the highest level has remained limited since the start of the season, hence the choice of a loan to accelerate his development.
An expected reinforcement at point guard for ALM Évreux
At Évreux, Moungalla will complete the rotation at point guard behind Anthony Da Silva (1.85m, 24 years old), who has been heavily used since the start of the season with over 31 minutes per game in 18 games. The Norman club, ALM Évreux, currently sits in 17th place in ELITE 2 with a record of 5 wins and 12 losses and is primarily focused on avoiding relegation. The addition of a young point guard capable of energizing the game and distributing the ball is seen as a strategic reinforcement for the second half of the season.
Registration still uncertain for the restart
ALM Évreux will start their 2026 year by hosting Poitiers on January 9, for the 18th round of ELITE 2. It remains to be seen whether Ilian Moungalla will be registered in time for this game and whether he can make his debut in his new colors at this fixture.
