Lattes-Montpellier crucifies Flammes Carolo, Basket Landes and Bourges secure wins, Anna Ngo Ndjock scores 32 points!

The La Boulangère Wonderleague resumed Wednesday night. BLMA struck a major blow by winning in the Ardennes, while defending champion Basket Landes, Bourges, Angers and Charnay also opened their season with wins.
Basket Landes starts title defense
Four months after their title, the Landes team started smoothly but authoritatively against Landerneau (59-43). Led by Murjanatu Musa (17 points) and captain Camille Droguet, they quickly pulled ahead (14-4, 10th) thanks to stifling defense. Despite a small lapse after halftime (43-34, 33rd), Julie Barennes’ players never really struggled. « No doubt: Basket Landes will again be very difficult to handle » writes Sud-Ouest which nonetheless describes it as a mixed victory.
✅ – It was far from perfect, but it’s a win!

BLMA overturns Charleville in money time
In a packed Guinguette Arena, the Flammes Carolo thought they had the victory after turning the game around against Lattes-Montpellier in the third quarter (53-49, 30th). But the Ardennes captain Noémie Brochant and her teammates saw Qadashah Hoppie (18 points) crush their hopes with a killer 3-pointer with 3.8 seconds remaining (70-71). A tough blow for Charleville, winners of the Champions Match just days earlier.
Angers tames La Roche in Loire Valley derby
After a tight derby, UFAB overcame La Roche Vendée (64-72). Unstoppable, Anna Ngo Ndjock delivered an XXL performance with 32 points and 10 rebounds. Ouest-France highlights Angers’ surge in money time, where the Tigers of Rita Igbokwe (13 points) cracked.
Bourges snatches victory at Chartres
Without Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi, the Tangos had to work hard to win the Centre-Val de Loire derby (58-62). Long troubled, they relied on Marie Paule Dally (12 points) and Kariata Diaby (11 points, 9 rebounds). As reported by Le Berry Républicain, everything came down to the last three minutes, with a 3-pointer from Dally then two free throws from Tima Pouye sealing Bourges’ success.
😮💨 A bit breathless at the end… but the first championship win is secure!
📅 Next meeting this Saturday at Le Prado, against Basket Landes!

Charnay confirms its dark horse status
In the Rhône derby, the Pinkies won on Lyon’s court (64-69). Mariama Daramy (22 points) shone for Charnay, while Lyon, missing two recruits blocked by the financial control commission, lacked energy despite strong resistance. « We can do much better » coach Yoann Cabioc’h regretted in Le Progrès.
