The third round of La Boulangère Wonderligue delivered its share of surprises and confirmations. A highly anticipated clash was scheduled this Sunday evening at the Espace François Mitterrand between Basket Landes and Charnay. It turned out to be no contest. In a match they controlled from start to finish, Basket Landes gave Charnay no chance (68-46), maintaining their undefeated record in the championship.
Julie Barennes’ team now stands alone atop the standings as Lattes-Montpellier and Angers, like Charnay, suffered their first losses in this third round.
French trio Droguet – Pardon – Bussière leads Basket Landes
The crowd at Espace François Mitterrand was treated to a show this Sunday evening. In a fast-paced and controlled game, Julie Barennes’ players quickly built a lead, giving a completely overwhelmed Charnay team no chance. Led by the unstoppable trio of Marie Pardon (11 points on 5/7 shooting, 2 rebounds and 2 assists) – Louise Bussiere (10 points on 4/8 shooting, 5 rebounds and 1 assist) – Camille Droguet (11 points on 5/11 shooting and 3 assists), Basket Landes played their game to perfection. Charleville-Mézières dominates Bourges
In an electric atmosphere, Charleville-Mézières delivered a high-level team performance to defeat Bourges (77-62). The Flammes Carolo dominated in the paint (42 points scored near the rim) and controlled the pace throughout.
Bourges, struggling with their shooting (34% success rate), never managed to find their rhythm. This signature win for Romuald Yernaux’s players confirms their strength at home.
Roche Vendée surprises leader Lattes Montpellier
In La Roche-sur-Yon, the suspense lasted until the end. Roche Vendée created the upset by handing co-leader Lattes their first defeat of the season (74-73).

David Gautier’s players made the difference thanks to their inside game (44 points in the paint) and excellent emotional control in the final moments. Lattes-Montpellier, despite coming back level in money time, lacked accuracy in their final possessions. Romane Berniès (23 points and 9 assists), who had brought her team within one point, missed her final layup. This is a foundational victory for the Vendée team before an upcoming tough away game.
