Last-minute change at BLMA: Kseniia Kozlova and the club are parting ways, and Christelle Diallo joins the roster. While the Ukrainian center was set to discover La Boulangère Wonderligue with Lattes-Montpellier, she is being replaced by a player well-known in the French championship.

Quick end to Kozlova’s adventure

BLMA officially announced on Friday, September 5th, the end of their collaboration with Kseniia Kozlova: « BLMA has decided, in agreement with the player and her agent, to terminate Kseniia Kozlova’s contract. The entire club wishes her all the best and success in her future professional career. »

Announced in May as a promising recruit after an impressive career at James Madison University (NCAA), Kozlova will ultimately not wear the BLMA jersey in official competition.

Christelle Diallo takes her place

To fill this vacancy, BLMA quickly rebounded by signing Christelle Diallo (1.93m, 32 years old). Born in Issy-les-Moulineaux, the French center returns to a championship she knows perfectly well, after more than 13 seasons spent in France (Bourges, Nice, Lyon, Tarbes, Charleville-Mézières, Villeneuve d’Ascq). She notably won the French Championship in 2012 and 2013 with Bourges.

In recent years, Diallo had moved abroad to Spain (Zaragoza) and then Turkey (Kayseri, Mersin). With CBK Mersin, finalist of the 2025 EuroLeague Women, she was able to compete at the highest European level. While it was thought she had signed with another Turkish club, Kocaeli, she will ultimately join the Hérault club.

A new dynamic for BLMA

A few weeks before the start of the 2025-2026 season, Lattes-Montpellier will benefit from the return to France of a seasoned center, capable of bringing her toughness and experience to a roster in full construction.
