The Detroit Pistons delivered a dominant performance against the Toronto Raptors, winning 113-95 Wednesday night in the final game before the NBA All-Star Game for both teams. Cade Cunningham was the main architect of this victory with 28 points.
A collective victory despite absences
The Pistons, leaders of the Eastern Conference, secured their sixth win in seven games despite the absence of their centers Isaiah Stewart and Jalen Duren. Both players began serving their suspensions handed down during the day for their involvement in a brawl during the win at Charlotte last Monday.
Reed filled the gaps about as cleanly as possible. Making his seventh start, he poured in 22 points, set the tone immediately with a first-possession three, and detonated for 16 points in a blistering first quarter, knocking down all seven of his attempts along the way.
He had support. Duncan Robinson chipped in 13 points, Tobias Harris logged a steady double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Detroit kept adding to one of the league’s more quietly impressive trends — pushing its road record to 18–7.

Detroit never gave Toronto an opening. The Pistons led wire to wire, extended their winning streak against the Raptors to seven, and imposed their will inside — 50 points in the paint to Toronto’s 34, plus a 46–35 edge on the glass.
Toronto pieced together scoring by committee. Immanuel Quickley led with 18 points, followed by Scottie Barnes with 17, RJ Barrett with 16 and Brandon Ingram with 13. Jakob Poeltl returned after a 24-game absence due to lower back pain, adding nine points and six rebounds in 20 minutes as he worked his way back into rhythm.
Both teams will resume competition on Thursday, February 19, with Detroit traveling to New York while Toronto will face Chicago on the road.
