The New York Knicks delivered an impressive offensive performance Sunday night at Madison Square Garden, comfortably defeating the Washington Wizards 145-113. This victory marks the sixth consecutive win for the Knicks, who continue their excellent current streak.

Karl-Anthony Towns dominated the game with 26 points and 16 rebounds in just 26 minutes of play, while Jalen Brunson added 23 points to the New York cause. The Knicks’ collective efficiency made the difference, with 58.5% shooting from the field and a remarkable 53% from 3-point range.

Total dominance in all aspects of the game

Josh Hartcontinued his exceptional streak from beyond the arc by hitting all three of his 3-point attempts, extending his streak to nine consecutive made shots from long range. The Knicks forward is now just one 3-pointer away from the franchise record. Mikal Bridges (14 points, 6 assists) and Mitchell Robinson (10 points, 10 rebounds in 17 minutes) also contributed to this collective victory.

The New York dominance was expressed in all areas: 64 points in the paint versus 38 for Washington, 48 rebounds versus 28, and a 26-point differential on two-point shots. The Knicks led from start to finish, holding a 16-point advantage at halftime before scoring 77 points in the second half.

Tyler Kolek lit up the end of the game by scoring 11 points in five minutes, hitting all three of his 3-point attempts. The young point guard was coming off a G League game that afternoon where he had scored 42 points. On the Wizards side, Jaden Hardy finished as the leading scorer with 25 points, but couldn’t prevent his team’s sixteenth consecutive loss. Bilal Coulibaly finished the game with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks while Alexandre Sarr did not play in the game.

This victory allows the Knicks to beat Washington for the twelfth consecutive time, their second longest streak against the Wizards. The New Yorkers will host New Orleans on Tuesday night, while Washington will attempt to end their losing streak on Wednesday in Utah.
