Player Profile
When Terry Taylor steps onto the court, his modest height tells only part of the story. What stands out first is the tenacity that has allowed him to turn every obstacle into a stepping stone to the next level.
It all began at Bowling Green High School in Kentucky, where Taylor made history by leading his team to its first state championship. Named MVP of the Kentucky Sweet 16 tournament, he compiled impressive statistics: 1,704 points and 1,300 rebounds throughout his high school career. An even more remarkable achievement given that he played alongside Zion Harmon, one of the most sought-after recruits in the country.
At Austin Peay State University, Taylor confirmed his offensive potential by surpassing 2,000 career points at the college level. Despite having a power forward build slightly below standard size, he made up for it with rare versatility, excelling at both scoring and rebounding. This ability to impose himself against bigger opponents became his trademark.
The summer of 2021 marked a turning point. Going undrafted in the NBA Draft, Taylor refused to give up and took the G League route. His convincing performances ultimately opened the doors to the big league, proving that in basketball, determination can sometimes outweigh inches.

- Joined the prestigious circle of NCAA Division I players with more than 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a college career at Austin Peay
- Compiled impressive averages of 19.5 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 blocks per game in the G League with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (2021)
- Recorded his first NBA double-double with 24 points and 16 rebounds in just his seventh NBA game (February 2, 2022, Indiana Pacers)
- Became a regular call-up to the NBA, playing for the Indiana Pacers and Chicago Bulls as well as their G League affiliates
