Bayern Munich releases T.J. Parker: imminent announcement at Roanne?
Arthur Puybertier

The arrival of T.J. Parker at Roanne, soon to be confirmed after his release from Bayern Munich, will be accompanied by that of Morgan Belnou. After a season off spent recharging following his difficult experience at CEP Lorient, the former ASVEL assistant is returning to a professional staff with high ambitions. An anticipated return for a technician who had previously worked with T.J. Parker at the Villeurbanne club.
La Chorale, which parted ways with Thomas Andrieux to relaunch an ambitious project, will now have three assistants around T.J. Parker: Morgan Belnou, but also Frédéric Jaudon and Loïc Bard, who remain under contract. A substantial staff for a team that has never hidden its objective of quickly returning to Betclic ELITE. Belnou will notably bring his recognized skills in scouting and game preparation, an area in which he distinguished himself at ASVEL.

Morgan Belnou was coming off a complicated 2023-2024 season in men’s Nationale 1. Having arrived in Lorient a year earlier, after his time at ASVEL where he had coached several EuroLeague games, he was unable to prevent CEP’s sporting relegation. The club then announced his departure in May 2024 via a statement: « The executive committee met with coach Morgan Belnou this Monday morning and informed him of its desire to give a new direction to his contract for next season, and that it would not oppose an early departure allowing him to exercise his duties at another club of his choice, » Lorient explained.
Former coach of Brissac, who also spent time at Le Portel, Morgan Belnou then chose to step back for a full season before relaunching himself in a coherent project. That will be at Roanne, with a coach he has already supported at the highest level.
