Player Profile
When Emanuel Miller steps onto NBA courts, he carries on a family tradition that resonates well beyond Canada's borders. The Chicago Bulls power forward shares with his younger brother Leonard an uncommon path: both play simultaneously in the prestigious American league, with Leonard on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Miller's journey perfectly illustrates the twists and turns of modern North American basketball. Starting out at Bill Crothers Secondary School in Canada, he moved through La Lumiere School and Prolific Prep, refining his game until he became a four-star prospect ranked 108th nationally. This methodical progression earned him particular recognition among big men, where he ranked 21st in his category.
His loyalty to his mentor proved decisive when he followed coach Buzz Williams from Virginia Tech to Texas A&M, demonstrating early maturity in his career choices. That same adaptability showed on the international stage, where Miller contributed to Canada's landmark successes: gold at the 2017 FIBA U19 World Championship and silver at the 2018 FIBA U18 Americas Championship.
Now holding a two-way contract between Chicago and the Windy City Bulls in the G League, Miller continues to develop the versatility that defines his style. An effective rebounder and consistent scorer, he embodies the generation of Canadian players gradually reshaping the NBA landscape. His steady development suggests he could well turn his current status into a permanent presence in the league.
