The Miami Heat delivered a spectacular offensive performance with a 130-117 victory over the Sacramento Kings Tuesday night at the Golden 1 Center. This win marks the third in five games for the Florida franchise, which dominated thanks to remarkable 3-point shooting.

A Rain of 3-Pointers from the First Quarter

The Heat’s offensive efficiency was built around a long-distance festival. Miami converted 21 of 42 three-point attempts (50%), with a particularly impressive first half where the team made 15 of 24 (62.5%). Norman Powell set the tone in the first quarter by hitting three three-pointers, allowing the Heat to quickly take the lead.

Simone Fontecchio shined off the bench with 15 points thanks to five made three-pointers. This collective long-distance performance allowed the Heat to lead 77-64 at halftime, notably thanks to a 45-point second quarter including nine 3-pointers.

Bam Adebayo led in scoring with 25 points, while Norman Powell added 22 points. Andrew Wiggins contributed with 19 points, and Pelle Larsson compiled 16 points along with nine assists, the team’s best total in that category.

Sacramento Continues to Fall Despite Individual Efforts

The Kings (12-32) suffered their second consecutive loss after winning four straight games, their best streak of the season. The California team now finds itself at 20 wins, below the 50% mark and only 3 games from the worst record in the NBA.

DeMar DeRozan led the Kings’ offense with 23 points, supported by Russell Westbrook who added 22 points on an excellent 9 of 14 shooting. Malik Monk contributed with 18 points, while Dylan Cardwell grabbed 12 rebounds.

Coach Doug Christie made surprising tactical choices by limiting Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis to only five minutes each in the second half. « It’s tough, but you try to find that group that brings energy, » Christie explained after the game. « It’s difficult trying to find a rhythm that brings that energy and allows us to play well together. »

This loss illustrates Sacramento’s persistent defensive struggles, having allowed 130 points or more for the 12th time this season, the third-highest total in the league. The Kings will host the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday to conclude their seven-game homestand.
