The Utah Jazz pulled off a spectacular comeback against the Minnesota Timberwolves, winning 127-122 thanks to an exceptional performance by Keyonte George. The point guard set a new career high with 43 points, leading his team’s rally from a 15-point deficit.

George was remarkably efficient, making 15 of his 28 field goal attempts and 6 of his 13 three-point attempts. This performance marks the third time in six games that the young player has surpassed the 30-point mark, confirming his rise to prominence this season.

Nurkic records historic triple-double

Jusuf Nurkic also shined with his second career triple-double, posting 16 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists. The Bosnian center hadn’t achieved such a feat since January 16, 2019, when he wore the Portland jersey in a 129-112 victory against Cleveland.

This victory allows coach Will Hardy to secure his 100th career win. The Jazz (15-29) benefited from contributions by rookie Ace Bailey (20 points) and Isaiah Collier (18 points, 10 assists), despite the absences of Lauri Markkanen, Kevin Love and Brice Sensabaugh.

Edwards powerless against collective breakdown

On the Timberwolves side (27-17), Anthony Edwards fought hard with 38 points on 11/28 shooting, but didn’t find enough offensive support. Julius Randle added 19 points while Rudy Gobert, back after a suspension, contributed 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks.

The turning point came early in the fourth quarter, when Bailey sparked an 11-2 run with a spectacular dunk and a three-pointer that gave the Jazz the lead. Utah scored on their first 11 possessions of the final quarter, completely reversing the game’s momentum.

This loss marks the third consecutive defeat for Minnesota, who finish their four-game road trip on a negative note. The Timberwolves will return to their fans on Thursday against Chicago, while the Jazz will host San Antonio.
