Jonas Boulefaa (2.07 m, 18 years old) has decided to take the next step in his young career. After three promising seasons at Pole France, the 2.07m power forward has chosen to begin his professional career with ADA Blois. A similar path to that of his former teammate Talis Soulhac, who also played for the Blois club, known for its policy of developing young talent.

A calculated risk to launch a promising career

With three seasons of National 1 already under his belt, Jonas Boulefaa is no stranger to French basketball. Originally from Meilhan, he developed his skills at Garonne Avenir Basket and BC Layrac Astaffort before being spotted by Pole France, which he joined in 2021. Making his NM1 debut at a young age, he distinguished himself as one of the best players of his generation.

The 2023-2024 season marked a turning point: as the second-highest scorer at Pole France behind Nolan Traore, he also shone at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament (ANGT) with a peak of 29 points in the final, including an impressive 6/8 from behind the arc. Though slowed by an injury this season, he made a remarkable return averaging 13.7 points in the last seven games.

A signing aligned with Blois’ DNA

The Blois project, focused on developing young French players, convinced the prospect despite numerous offers. « I’m very happy that Jonas has chosen to trust us despite interest from many French and foreign clubs,Ā Ā» commented coach David Morabito, who is represented by the same agency as the prospect. « He has all the qualities of a modern power forward […] with high-level outside shooting.Ā Ā»

Julien Monclar, the club’s sporting director, shares this enthusiasm: « He’s a player we’ve been following for over 3 years […]. He already checks all the boxes to perform in Pro, while obviously having great potential for improvement.Ā Ā»

Before Blois, a summer in Blue for Jonas Boulefaa

Before joining ADA for the 2025-2026 season preparation, Jonas Boulefaa will spend an international summer with the French U18 team. He is expected at the end of June to begin preparation for the U18 EuroBasket, which will be held in Belgrade from July 26 to August 3. This will be an opportunity for the young power forward to continue developing before taking on Pro B competition in Blois colors.
