Gauthier Denis joins BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque and reunites with Jean-Christophe Prat
Gauthier Denis (2.01m, 28 years old) is about to start a new chapter in his career. After a patchy 2024-2025 season, marked by a long period without a club followed by a short stint at JL Bourg cut short by injury, the shooting guard will return to a familiar environment by signing with BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque, under Jean-Christophe Prat, his coach for four seasons at Paris Basketball.

A return to roots for Gauthier Denis
BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque has announced its first summer signing: Gauthier Denis. The former JL Bourg player, eliminated in the playoff semifinals by Paris Basketball, will reunite in the North with a coach he knows perfectly: Jean-Christophe Prat, with whom he worked between 2018 and 2022 at Paris Basketball. Together, they experienced the club’s rise from Pro B to EuroCup.
A patchy season and redemption to seek
After leaving Paris in summer 2024, Gauthier Denis remained without a club for several months before joining Bourg-en-Bresse in March. However, an injury quickly halted his return to the courts. He played only a very limited role in JL’s roster during this end of season. Nevertheless, BCM notes in their announcement that the shooting guard had already made a good impression as a practice player with the northern club in January and February.
A sharpshooter to revive
Known for his outside shooting (over 40% from 3-point range across several seasons), the player nicknamed « Gucci » arrives at BCM with the desire to restart his career and find an important role in the rotation. The northern club is counting on his game knowledge, shooting ability, and mindset to strengthen a group seeking stability after another turbulent season.
