Benitez decisive in crunch time
Manresa secured their fourth Liga Catalana title, but they had to resist Joventut’s attacks until the end. Led by a solid team effort, Diego Ocampo’s men took the lead in the first quarter (26-19), maintaining a slight advantage at halftime (40-35).
After returning from the locker room, Badalona caught up twice, but a 14-3 run by the Catalans gave Manresa some breathing room (65-56, 30th minute). Despite a final push from Kyle Hunt, Ricky Rubio and their teammates in the last two minutes, the home team held on, with Dani Pérez sealing the victory at the free-throw line.

Hugo Benitez named MVP
In this high-intensity game, Hugo Benitez confirmed his leadership role. The French point guard tallied 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for a 22 efficiency rating. His complete performance earned him the Final MVP award.
With this preseason trophy, Manresa kicks off their 2025-2026 season perfectly, and Benitez confirms his rising form, which was already apparent throughout the preparation period.
