French champion signs in Israel

Bethy Mununga (1.83m, 28 years old) starts a new challenge. The Belgian-Congolese forward, who played a key role in Villeneuve d’Ascq’s French championship title in 2024 (averaging 3 points and 3.6 rebounds in the championship), has just signed with Maccabi Haifa in the Israeli first division for the 2025-2026 season. She had a strong individual performance last season in Spain with Araski, where she finished as the Liga Femenina Endesa’s top rebounder (averaging 10.1 points and 10.1 rebounds).
A career already rich in trophies
After playing at the University of South Florida until 2022, Mununga has already built an impressive record. With Belgium, she participated in the 2024 Paris Olympics (reaching semi-finals) and won EuroBasket 2023, making history with the Belgian Cats.
Now, she will embark on a new experience at Maccabi Haifa, who are counting on her physical impact and rebounding skills to reach the next level.
A string of successes
With a continental title with her national team and a national championship in France in two years, Bethy Mununga continues to add accomplishments to her resume. Her arrival in Israel marks a new chapter in a career that remains worth following closely, both at club level and with the Belgian Cats.
