Clarince Djaldi-Tabdi leaves Team France, 14 players continue preparation for Euro 2025
French National Team - Following the last preparation game against Belgium, Jean-Aimé Toupane has reduced his squad. Clarince Djaldi-Tabdi is no longer part of Team France, which now consists of 14 players continuing their journey toward Euro 2025.

This Wednesday evening in Brest, after a narrow defeat against Belgium (60-63), the French women’s team concluded its first preparation phase for EuroBasket 2025. Following this match, head coach Jean-Aimé Toupane made his first squad reduction. Clarince Djaldi-Tabdi (1.84m, 29 years old) has left Team France, which will reconvene Sunday evening at INSEP to continue summer preparation.

Clarince Djaldi-Tabdi cut, 14 players remain in contention
Having joined the team with ambitions to establish herself in the French frontcourt rotation, Clarince Djaldi-Tabdi will not continue further in the preparation. The former Basket Landes player, who earned 5 caps since her debut in 2023, leaves Team France after the first training camp and two preparation games against Belgium.
The French staff retains 14 players, who will begin a new work phase starting Sunday evening in Paris. Among them are veterans like Valériane Ayayi, Iliana Rupert and soon Mariéme Badiane, as well as young talents such as Leila Lacan, Pauline Astier, and Garance Rabot.
A balance between experience and youth
This French squad shows a good balance between experienced players and young talents. Valériane Ayayi (158 caps) and Romane Bernies (62 caps) bring their experience, while emerging profiles like Aminata Gueye and Garance Rabot continue to discover the highest level.
Versatility remains a major asset of this group, with positions doubled or even tripled, particularly in the backcourt. The next 10 days will allow Jean-Aimé Toupane to further trim his roster ahead of the continental competition.
Next stop: INSEP
The 14 selected players will meet Sunday evening at INSEP for a new training camp. More friendly matches are scheduled before the final selection, which will take 12 players to EuroBasket 2025.
