Mam Jaiteh heading to Dubai BC, Kevarrius Hayes expected to replace him at Monaco?

Mouhammadou Jaiteh (2.11 m, 30 years old) could leave AS Monaco after two seasons in Betclic ELITE and EuroLeague. According to our information, the Principality club could set their sights on Kevarrius Hayes (2.06 m, 28 years old), the American-Central African Republic naturalized center from Paris Basketball, to strengthen their frontcourt, as revealed by Andrea Calzoni this Wednesday, June 4.

Mam’ Jaiteh’s departure to Dubai BC, promoted to EuroLeague for the 2025-2026 season, as announced by Buzz Sport, will free up a spot in Monaco’s interior rotation. The French international is coming off a solid campaign with the Roca Team, averaging 10.1 points and 5.5 rebounds in Betclic ELITE, and 7.5 points and 4 rebounds in EuroLeague. In the prime of his career, the international will join this ambitious new club, which is expected to sign major players during the offseason, such as Serbian international Aleksa Avramovic (1.93 m, 30 years old).

To replace him, AS Monaco would bet on Kevarrius Hayes, an explosive big man who knows both Betclic ELITE and EuroLeague well. Having played for ASVEL, Zalgiris Kaunas, and Bursaspor, Hayes just completed a solid season with Paris (6.8 points and 4.6 rebounds in the championship, 6.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in EuroLeague), where he plays with another future Monaco player, Nadir Hifi.

A solid shot-blocker, good rebounder, and efficient finisher near the rim, Kevarrius Hayes could bring defensive intensity that had disappeared since Donta Hall’s departure in summer 2024. Trained at the University of Florida, Hayes also has significant high-level European experience, which aligns with Monaco’s ambitions.
For Paris, this departure would be a short-term setback but could free up a foreign player spot in their rotation, which already has to deal with several contract endings this summer.
