Cameron Houindo (6’9″, 17 years old), young center from INSEP Academy, is drawing strong interest from Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana. The Slovenian club, well-known for launching Joan Beringer on an NBA trajectory, now wants to invest in the French prospect, still U17 but already on international radars. Present at the Adidas Eurocamp in Treviso, Houindo has been making spectacular plays, confirming his potential.

Cedevita Olimpija ready to bet on Houindo

In search of new talent after revealing Joan Beringer – represented by the same agency, Wasserman, as Houindo – who is expected in the Top 15 of the 2025 NBA Draft, Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana is closely following Cameron Houindo. Playing for INSEP Academy in NM1 this season (averaging 8.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in 27 games), the northern French center has caught the attention of the Slovenian club, who hopes to convince him to join them this summer.

Measured at 6’9″ without shoes, Cameron Houindo is a true athlete. With an already solid build, explosive, vertical, he shows ability to develop into a power forward while maintaining a formidable inside presence. He could play under Zvezdan Mitrovic, an experienced coach who previously led AS Monaco, ASVEL, and Buducnost Podgorica. A structured environment to continue his development at a club familiar with EuroCup and Adriatic League.

A future abroad taking shape

Besides Ljubljana, Cameron Houindo is targeted by several foreign programs, particularly in Australia. But the prospect of joining Cedevita’s project is exciting

Currently in Treviso for the Adidas Eurocamp, the northern French prospect continues to impress. His athletic profile and technical maturity are catching the attention of scouts present.

Northern roots, already structured path

Born in Sainte-Catherine-lez-Arras, Cameron Houindo started basketball at just 2.5 years old. After playing for Saint-Nicolas, Dourges, Union Artois Elite Basket, he then joined INSEP Academy. Son of Ghyslain Houindo, a lawyer of Guinean origin and former basketball player (in Benin, South Africa and the United States, in Philadelphia), Cameron has always been immersed in an environment conducive to high-level practice. A journey that could now continue in Slovenia.
