Former Bourges player Yvonne Anderson heading to Serbia

Experienced Yvonne Anderson (1.75m, 35 years old) is headed to a new destination. The American-Serbian is joining Serbia, the country she has represented since 2020, with Red Star Belgrade. This marks the 15th professional club for the player who arrived in Europe 10 years ago.

A major signing for Red Star

Yvonne Anderson comes from Mersin where she played in EuroLeague, reaching the Final Six. In the European competition, the point guard averaged 11.1 points with 46.6% shooting accuracy, 5.1 assists, and 3.1 rebounds. The Arkansas native joins Red Star to help the club win the EuroCup, where she can bring all her experience to a renewed roster.

After playing at the University of Texas, Anderson discovered Europe in Sweden in 2014. Since then, the naturalized Serbian has played in Italy, Turkey, WNBA, and also in France with Tango Bourges Basket during the 2022-2023 season where she was one of the team’s key players.
