Amine Noua impresses against Olympiacos, despite Aris defeat

Games continue to follow a similar pattern for Amine Noua (6’8″, 28 years old) with Aris Thessaloniki. Two days after performing against a EuroLeague team, Olympiacos, against whom he recorded a double-double (20 points and 11 rebounds), the French international with 10 caps once again stood out in a loss. He recorded 23 points on 9/18 shooting and 9 rebounds in 36 minutes.
This time, it was Manresa standing in the way of the man with 268 games for ASVEL and his teammates. The Spanish side was coming off three straight losses, including two by significant margins (-27 against Valencia in the league and -36 in EuroCup against Hapoel Jerusalem), but that didn’t stop the Catalans from surprising their opponent (113-99), who were still playing without French international Hugo Benitez (6’4″, 24 years old).
With this new performance, Amine Noua confirms his trend: he excels in games against European teams. In the Top 15 in scoring (15.1 points per game), he’s also impressive in the Greek championship with 17 points per game, enough to attract attention from EuroLeague clubs.
In thirteen games wearing the yellow and black jersey, the former Fenerbahce player has only stayed below 10 points 3 times. The first two when he arrived in November, the last in late December against Cedevita Olimpija, the club of prospect Cameron Houindo.
He too has played on Betclic ELITE courts and is lighting up the stat sheets. Former Limoges player Bryce Jones (6’0″, 31 years old). The former CSP point guard is eighth in the European competition in efficiency rating (19.2) and sixth in scoring with 17.5 points per game, and was even named co-MVP of the first EuroCup game day in early October.
Like his teammate Amine Noua, the American is performing on the European stage, but not only there. With 25 points against Kolossos Rhodes with Milban Barbitch, 18 against PAOK and 19 against AEK, his averages are solid in the championship: 15.4 points and almost 5 assists.
Next European away game for the two former French championship players: next Wednesday against Group A leader Hapoel Jerusalem. Another standout performance coming?
