Amine Noua, an Indonesian adventure before joining a major European club

Amine Noua (2.02m, 28 years old) is coming off an outstanding 2024-2025 season in Spain. Despite the French international’s high-level performance with Granada (fourth-highest scorer, fifth in rebounds and fifth in average evaluation), the Andalusian club couldn’t avoid relegation from Liga Endesa. The Lyon native won’t remain inactive though: before targeting a return to a top European club, he has signed for a summer stint in Indonesia with Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta, replacing Warren Washington.
An exotic and ambitious stopover in Jakarta
Amine Noua is treating himself to both a lucrative and exotic interlude this summer. The power forward is joining Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta, a flagship club in the Indonesian championship. A multiple national champion (twelve titles) and former ASEAN Basketball League finalist, followed by 138,000 people on Instagram, the Jakarta-based club aims to grow its project by attracting experienced players, in a booming local economic context.
In Indonesia, the championship is played over a shorter period than European leagues, allowing some players to complete their sporting season. That’s why Amine Noua, free since the end of the Spanish season, will experience this unique opportunity before possibly joining the French national team in August to prepare for the Euros and obviously returning to the European scene in autumn.
So welcome to satria muda bro🫶🏻 https://t.co/BIXKhY17gG

A convincing 2024-2025 season despite relegation
Despite Granada’s relegation, Amine Noua’s season has been praised by many observers. In Liga Endesa, the former ASVEL player finished in the top 5 for scoring, rebounds, and evaluation. These statistics should open doors to a more ambitious club in a major championship. But for now, the Villeurbanne-trained player has chosen to break from the usual standards.

At 28, this Jakarta adventure appears to be a welcome breather, while keeping an eye on future opportunities. The French international doesn’t hide his ambition to bounce back in a competitive setting next season.
