Recruited in summer 2024 from ASVEL, Youssoupha Fall had a mixed season in his first year wearing blaugrana colors. Often used off the bench by Joan Peñarroya, he still managed to make himself useful at key moments. During the EuroLeague quarter-finals against AS Monaco, he even played an important role in the Catalan paint.
In Liga Endesa, the giant averaged 5.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 0.2 assists in 33 games. In EuroLeague, his averages were slightly lower: 4.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 29 games.
After a blank season – without titles in EuroLeague, Spanish championship, or Copa del Rey – FC Barcelona has been relatively quiet in the summer market. The club lost Jabari Parker, James Nnaji, Chimezie Metu and Alex Abrines, who retired. Notable arrivals include Myles Cale (Trento), Juani Marcos (returning from loan) and the duo from Virtus Bologna, Tornike Shengelia and Will Clyburn.
Joan Peñarroya remains at the helm of a stable roster featuring Kevin Punter, Juan Núñez, Tomas Satoransky, Nicolas Laprovittola and Dario Brizuela in the backcourt, as well as Joel Parra, Willy Hernangomez and Jan Vesely in the frontcourt. In this context, keeping Youssoupha Fall would represent a real asset for the interior rotation.

For now, nothing is officially confirmed, but both parties are seriously discussing an extension. This continuity would give Youssoupha Fall another opportunity to establish himself in a complementary center role and help Barça reclaim titles.
