After experiencing pain in his left heel on October 17 against Virtus Bologna (83-90), Edwin Jackson (1.90 m, 36 years old) missed the Betclic ELITE game against Monaco (98-102). The ASVEL guard underwent an ultrasound this Monday morning, with reassuring results, reports Le Progrès.
A painful but not serious bursitis
The diagnosis reveals a severe bursitis, which is painful but without major consequences. The former Barcelona and Estudiantes Madrid player will not be away from the court for more than a week. However, the Villeurbanne staff prefers not to take any risks with one of their key players.
Two games missed before expected return
Edwin Jackson will logically miss the next EuroLeague game against Dubai Basketball Club this Thursday at 7:30 PM at LDLC Arena, as well as Saturday’s away game at Nanterre in Betclic ELITE. His return is expected the following week, if the pain subsides as anticipated.
