After the signing of Mbaye Ndiaye, Olympiacos has secured an interesting prospect in terms of Greek players.

Nikolaos Plotas is a Greek guard born on June 12, 2004. Standing at around 1.93–1.95 m, he developed through the youth system of Promitheas Patras, where he gradually progressed into the senior team.

Plotas made his senior debut with Promitheas during the 2022–23 season and gained valuable experience in both the Greek league and European competitions. In 2023–24, he played 16 Greek League games and also appeared in the Basketball Champions League, averaging 1.5 points in European play.

During the 2024–25 season, Plotas spent time with Promitheas as well as AS Karditsas and Koroivos Amaliadas, taking on a larger role and averaging 5.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.0 assist across his Greek second-tier campaign. He returned to Promitheas for the 2025–26 season, averaging 5.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in the Greek League.

At international level, Plotas has represented Greece extensively in youth competitions. He played at the FIBA U18 European Championship in 2022 and the FIBA U20 European Championship in 2023 and 2024. His best U20 tournament came in 2024, when he averaged 9.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

After going undrafted in the 2026 NBA Draft, Plotas remains an intriguing young Greek prospect with experience in both domestic and European basketball.
