Daniel Theis (2.03m, 33 years old) delivered an exceptional performance against Lithuania. The AS Monaco center finished with 23 points on 100% shooting, helping Germany mathematically qualify for the round of 16 of EuroBasket 2025.
Germany dominated Lithuania 107-88 in a clash between undefeated teams in Group B, thus mathematically qualifying for the round of 16 of EuroBasket 2025. At the heart of this brilliant victory, Daniel Theis delivered an offensive masterclass that will go down in tournament history.
The AS Monaco center was simply perfect in shooting, finishing the game with 23 points without missing a single shot: 6/6 on 2-pointers, 3/3 on 3-pointers, and 2/2 on free throws. Theis also contributed 6 rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block, and a record evaluation of 32, the best of the game.
From the start, Theis set the tone by scoring 8 points in the first six minutes, helping Germany take a double-digit lead (32-20) at the end of the first quarter. By halftime, he already had 14 points on 6/6 shooting in just six minutes of play, with 4 rebounds and an evaluation of 20.
Only his 3 personal fouls prevented Theis from achieving a statistically perfect performance, as he committed no turnovers in 23 minutes of playing time. He completely outplayed NBA center Jonas Valanciunas (14 points on 5/8 shooting, 4 rebounds and 4 fouls in 20 minutes).
Theis benefited from remarkable collective support. Dennis Schroder led the German attack with 26 points, while Franz Wagner added 24 points. Bayern Munich’s Andreas Obst also shined with 15 points thanks to an excellent 5/7 from 3-point range.
Germany dominated in all aspects, finishing with an impressive 19/35 from 3-point range (54.3%), far superior to Lithuania’s 8/22 (36.4%). The Germans also dished out 26 assists with only 7 turnovers. For Lithuania, Bayern’s Rokas Jokubaitis led the resistance with 20 points.

This performance is part of Theis’ growing momentum since the start of the tournament. After 6 points and 5 rebounds against Montenegro (106-76 win), then 11 points in 13 minutes against Sweden (105-83 win), the Monaco center confirms his excellent form.
Germany, which has scored over 100 points in each game, positions itself as one of the favorites for gold. After a remarkable season with Monaco, culminating in the club’s first EuroLeague final appearance, Theis now aims to add EuroBasket 2025 to the world title won by his national team in 2023.
