The San Antonio Spurs delivered one of their most polished offensive performances of the season by crushing the Houston Rockets 145-120. Victor Wembanyama once again orchestrated this dominant display, posting 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks in just 30 minutes of play.

The French center set the tone from the start by scoring his team’s first eight points, including a 3-pointer over Alperen Sengun. « Something clicked from the first quarter, » Wembanyama said after the game. « We understood their adjustments and decided to make them suffer elsewhere. »

An Offensive Showcase Orchestrated by a Red-Hot Collective

Beyond their franchise player’s performance, the Spurs shined through their team play. Stephon Castle added 23 points, De’Aaron Fox recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 assists, while Keldon Johnson (20 points) and Dylan Harper (19 points) provided valuable contributions off the bench.

« The pace has been really consistent lately, » emphasized coach Mitch Johnson. « When you play with the speed we have, combined with the talent and off-ball movement, it’s really hard to defend. » This offensive fluidity translated into 38 assists on 51 made baskets and a remarkable 58% shooting percentage.

The Rockets, led by Kevin Durant (23 points) and Amen Thompson (also 23 points), never found a solution to contain the opposing attack. Houston gave up a season-high 56 points in the paint and committed numerous turnovers, particularly in the first half with eight lost possessions.

This fourth consecutive victory allows the Spurs (47-17) to solidify their second-place position in the West, just 2.5 games behind the Thunder. For Houston (39-24), this loss stings as the Rockets slip to fourth place, passed by Minnesota. The Spurs will host Boston Tuesday night continuing this homestand.
