Two new signings for ASVEL Women: Diana Balayera and Emma Peytour arrive from Roche Vendée

Diana Balayera and Emma Peytour will join ASVEL Women for the 2025-2026 season. After a successful season with La Roche Vendée in La Boulangère Wonderligue, the two French players each bring a mobile and versatile profile to a team being rebuilt after eight departures.
Two complementary profiles for ASVEL’s roster
Coming through Charleville-Mézières’ youth academy, Diana Balayera (1.91m, 29 years old) worked her way up in LF2 before discovering the elite level with Charnay. After a successful first season in LFB in 2023-2024, she confirmed her impact this year with La Roche Vendée, averaging 6.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 25 games. Powerful and experienced, the French-Malian player will strengthen the interior sector of the team coached by Yoann Cabioc’h.
For her part, Emma Peytour (1.73m, 24 years old) continues her progression after winning the LF2 championship with Chartres in 2024. The Alsatian guard, a 3×3 U23 international, had a learning season in LFB with modest statistics (3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists), but her profile as a mobile player capable of shooting from 3-point range remains promising.
Recruitment based on mobility and versatility
After recording eight departures during the offseason, ASVEL Women is rebuilding a group around young players with potential. The club will announce the signing of Aïnhoa Risacher’s first professional contract and the arrivals of Jess-Mine Zodia, Diana Balayera and Emma Peytour suggest a team capable of playing intense defense and fast-paced basketball.
The two recruits had their departure from Roche Vendée confirmed during the last home game of the season against Landerneau in the play-downs. A well-managed transition for two players hoping to take their game to the next level in Lyon.
